The idea of the bride taking a bouquet on her wedding day has its history dating back to the 1600s Dutch, which was later adopted by the Romans, Greeks, Celtics & English. Originally, bouquets were made of aromatic bunches of garlic, herbs & spices & later evolved to include orange blossoms. The original intention of the bride carrying a bouquet down the aisle was to ward off evil spirits, ill health and bad luck. In ancient Rome, brides wore garland or carried bouquets as a sign of new beginnings, fidelity and even fertility. The dawn of the Victorian age saw lovers using the exchange of flowers as a romantic gesture [with each flower having a different meaning] and this tradition naturally resulted in the carrying of the bouquet by the bride.
At Chic-Events, we know bouquets! With our in-house floral specialist, we aim to create the most beautiful & breath-taking bouquets custom-designed for each of our brides. We love hydrangeas, orchids, calla lilies & yellow birds in our bouquets.
4. A Round bouquet is more of a neater version of the hand-tied bouquet with the tie being done with ribbons. It is neat as it is versatile; any flower can be made into a round bouquet! You can use large and small flowers- the larger flowers can be out (high) while the smaller flowers are in (lower than the large flowers). A bouquet done like this will create dimensions which shows some of its versatility. Roses are always a bride pleaser in a round bouquet.
Remember flowers speak the language of LOVE and so does Chic Events!
